The season ends in Turin. From 15 to 22 November 2026, the eight best singles players and doubles teams of the year meet at the Inalpi Arena for the Nitto ATP Finals. The problem, as always with tennis, is that the broadcaster changes every time you cross a border.
If you’re travelling that week and want your usual coverage, or you’re in Italy and want the free matches, here’s how it works and which VPNs we’d use.
Quick answer: the best VPNs for the ATP Finals
- NordVPN: best overall, 5/5 streaming and speed, 60-day refund window
- Surfshark: best value, unlimited devices
- ExpressVPN: excellent streaming, fast reconnects, but expensive
- CyberGhost: cheap, with a 45-day refund window

Who shows the ATP Finals in each country
Rights vary, so check your local listings before the first day. Based on published rights listings for the 2026 ATP Tour and official announcements:
| Country | Broadcaster |
|---|---|
| Italy | Mediaset (free-to-air, 8 selected matches); full coverage on pay TV, including NOW |
| UK | Sky Sports |
| USA | Tennis Channel |
| France | beIN Sports |
| Germany | Sky Sport |
| Spain | Movistar Plus+ |
| Australia | Stan Sport |
| Many other countries | Tennis TV (the ATP’s own streaming service) |
The free option is in Italy. In February 2026, the ATP announced that Mediaset had acquired free-to-air rights for a multi-year cycle starting this year, covering eight selected matches on its TV networks and digital platforms. For the full tournament in Italy, NOW lists the ATP Finals in its Sport pass.
Tennis TV, the ATP’s own service, sells one subscription worldwide and has carried the Finals in past seasons. Check that the Finals are included in your region before you pay, as local rights holders can take priority.
Why you might need a VPN for the ATP Finals
The common situation: you pay for Sky Sports, Tennis Channel or Movistar Plus+ at home, then travel for work or a holiday that week. Open the app abroad and the stream is blocked because of your location. A VPN connected to a server back home gives you a home IP address, so your subscription works as usual.
A VPN also helps on hotel and airport Wi-Fi, where you’re on a shared network with strangers. And it can stop your internet provider from throttling video traffic at peak time, though that’s less common than people think.
One note on rules: streaming services set their own terms on VPN use, and rights are sold country by country. Using a VPN to watch a service you already pay for while travelling is the cleanest use case.

1. NordVPN: best VPN for the ATP Finals
NordVPN scores 5/5 on streaming in our tests, with Excellent results on Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Disney+, Prime Video, HBO Max and Peacock. That matters for live sport, because the sports apps use the same kind of VPN detection. It’s also 5/5 on speed, so a 4K or HD stream from a server back home holds up.
With 6,274 servers in 104 countries, you’ll find a server in your home country wherever you are that week. The 1-year plan is $68.85 (about $5.74 a month), and the 60-day money-back guarantee covers the whole tournament with weeks to spare.

2. Surfshark: best value
Surfshark scores 4.5/5 on streaming and 5/5 on speed, and allows unlimited devices, so the TV, laptop and phones in a holiday rental can all be connected. It costs $59.76 for the first year (about $4.98 a month) and has a Cure53-audited no-logs policy.
3. ExpressVPN: excellent, at a premium
ExpressVPN matches NordVPN on streaming (5/5, Excellent everywhere we test) and speed. Its Lightway protocol reconnects quickly, which helps on flaky hotel Wi-Fi. It’s the most expensive at $99.95 for the first year, and scores 3.72/5 overall.
4. CyberGhost: cheap, with a long refund window
CyberGhost scores 4/5 on streaming and 4/5 on speed, with 6,200 servers in 90 countries. At $47.88 a year (about $3.99 a month) and with a 45-day refund window, it’s a low-risk option if you only need a VPN for the tennis.
5. Proton VPN: best for privacy
Proton VPN scores 4/5 on streaming and 5/5 on speed, with a KPMG-audited no-logs policy and Swiss jurisdiction. It’s a good choice if you want a VPN for the rest of the year too, and the price is low at $47.88 for the first year.

How to watch the ATP Finals with a VPN
- Pick and install a VPN from the list above, on the device you’ll watch on.
- Connect to a server in the country where your subscription works: the UK for Sky Sports, the US for Tennis Channel, Spain for Movistar Plus+, and so on.
- Clear your browser cookies or restart the app so it picks up your new location.
- Log in to your usual service and start the stream.
- Test it before match day. Don’t wait for the final to find out that a server is blocked.
If you get a “not available in your region” error, switch to another server in the same country. Our guide to fixing “VPN detected” errors covers the stubborn cases, and our UK IP address guide walks through the setup step by step for British services.
Watching the free Mediaset matches
If you’re Italian and abroad during the tournament, the eight free-to-air matches on Mediaset are the easy win. Connect to a server in Italy, open Mediaset’s website or app, and the selected matches play like they would at home. Mediaset hasn’t announced which eight matches it will show, so check its schedule each morning. For everything else, you’ll need a pay service.
Tips for watching live tennis abroad
- Mind the time zone. Turin is on Central European Time. In 2025, the evening singles match started at 2:30pm US Eastern time, which is 8:30pm in Turin. Expect a similar rhythm this year.
- Use Ethernet or a strong Wi-Fi signal. Live sport is less forgiving than films, since there’s no buffer to hide a drop.
- Use your provider’s fastest protocol (NordLynx on NordVPN, Lightway on ExpressVPN, WireGuard on the others).
- Pick a server in a big city in your home country. They usually have more capacity at peak times.
